1. Who inspires you?
I’m inspired by the people around me. I see all these ambitious people who have worked really hard to get where they are now, and it is such a motivating environment. My friends are all brilliant people who always have interesting and intellectual conversations which is something I really try to keep up with. Also, my baby cousin! He doesn’t really do much, but his existence just makes me want to be the best person I can be. His innocence makes me want to be kind, loving, and good. All in all, everyone I have ever met taught me something and shown me different viewpoints. And what is life without sharing experiences with others?
2. Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up?
I really wanted to be a high school art teacher for some reason. I was never really good at art (and still am not) so I don’t know why I decided on that.
3. What do you want to make sure you do before you die?
The main thing I wish to do is to have tried every type of cuisine available. I cherish my food. My go to is always a good chicken briyani (or any kind of Punjabi food really) but it’s nice to try different things. I’m always bringing up new ideas for dinner but my mom usually just tells me to sit down and have some roti.
4. What do you want to accomplish on AOA?
I want to see AOA grow. I want accounting students in all years to benefit from what AOA has to offer. I am also aiming to ensure that our events give these students useful skills, knowledge, and connections that they can use now and in the future. Pursuing accounting opens up so many doors and there is so much to gain from it. Accounting is actually so much fun, okay? I love accounting!
