What is one of your mottos in life?
“Lower your expectations, so when you succeed, you surprise even yourself.”
If you could compare yourself to a character in a TV show, movie, etc., what character do you think is most similar to you and why?
I would say that I am most like Ross from Friends. We are similar in the sense that we are both shy and introverted. I always had trouble expressing myself which Ross does too considering how it took him nine years to confess his crush to Rachel (I probably would have done the same). However, I am also passionate when talking about something I love like Ross is with dinosaurs. We both like to live an orderly life and think with our hearts instead of our brain. While that often comes with regrets, I believe that is what makes us both likeable and dependable.
In your opinion, what is the scariest interview question you have been asked or can be asked?
A question that I would be afraid of being asked is “What qualities separate you from the other candidates?” I always felt that it is easier to identify your weaknesses and shortcomings compared to your strengths.
If you were lucky enough to win the lottery, what would you do?
I would probably take a year off and travel the world by myself. I have always wanted to go to places like South Korea, Italy, Egypt, Japan, Iceland and many other countries. There is that sense of vulnerability when you are in foreign land surrounded by unknown people and an unknown culture by yourself. To me, it would be an exciting and eye-opening experience that will change me forever.
Why did you become a part of AOA?
As someone who wanted to get involved with UTSC and pursue a career in accounting in the future, AOA was the perfect club for me to join. I initially became an associate with the desire of being exposed to professionals from the accounting industry. However, AOA has given me a lot more than that. With a team of hard-working executives and associates, I have found myself to become more driven and always looking forward to the next challenge!
