What is one of your favourite quotes of all time?
“Life isn’t short, it’s the longest thing you’ll ever have.”
This quote resonates with me because it reminds me to slow down once in a while and to just relax. We’re so busy trying to accomplish many things within our life that we forget to appreciate what we have already achieved. It’s important to stay positive and to just be a genuine person; be who we are and life will feel long and fulfilling.
If you could be anyone else who would you be and why?
I would probably be someone with a 4.0 GPA so I could learn how to accomplish such a thing myself!!
If you were lucky enough to win the lottery, what would you do?
I would pay off all my OSAP and my parents’ debt. Then I would buy them a new house with all the bells and whistles. I would then spend the money on travelling all over the world with my family, a Steinway grand piano, and gifts for all my close friends. I would donate a significant amount to charities and then put the rest in a savings account. As you can see, I thought this out very carefully because I hope one day this will be a reality of course!!
Why did you become a part of AOA?
In first year, I wanted to get involved to enhance my university experience and to build my transferrable skills. Little did I know, I’d do much more than that by joining AOA as an associate. I’ve made great friendships and learned so much that I can apply to numerous situations. it was truly an unforgettable experience. It was so awesome that I decided to apply again for executive and here I am as a director for the 2016-2017 year, once again with great, like-minded individuals with a common goal to promote the accounting industry and bring professional development opportunities to the students of UTSC.
